Žugić in Dubrovnik: Structural unemployment a big problem in MNE

The major problem of the Montenegrin labor market is structural unemployment caused by disharmony between demand and academic background, according to the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Radoje Žugić.

Mr Žugić took part at the international conference in Dubrovnik and said that grey economy and negative demographic trends have also been great problems, as well as the so-called ‘brain drain’.

“Even though there’s a growth in the number of recruited people and decreased unemployment rate, which have been confirmed by the accelerated economic development, Montenegro, as all the other countries of the region, is facing many challenges on the labor market,” Mr Žugić added.
