Over the course of five years, a total of 401 children were reported missing to the Ministry of Interior on the territory of Montenegro. Although Montenegro doesn’t have the ‘AMBER Alert’ system for sharing information when a child is being reported missing, the ministry says it’s a great tool for finding missing children, but becomes fully useful by undertaking regular and proper measures by the Montenegrin police although we don’t formally have it.

There are no juveniles reported missing on the territory of Montenegro, the RTCG portal publishes.

According to data of the Ministry of Interior, the largest number of missing juveniles were reported back in 2018, when the police were in search for 83 children.

In 2019, there were 82 reported cases of missing juveniles, while 2020 saw somewhat smaller number with 46 reported cases.

In 2021, the ministry was in search for 62 missing juveniles, whereas in 2022 for 69. As for 2023, 59 children were reported missing.

According to them, no juvenile has been abducted in Montenegro.
