The Ministry of Capital Investments, headed by Minister Mladen Bojanic, is delaying informing the National Council for the Fight against High-Level Corruption which data on the construction of the highway are classified, which is a key obstacle to their publication, the head of the Expert Body of the High-level anti-corruption council Vanja Calovic Markovic has told Dan.
However, she adds, so far the Council has been provided with decisions on secrecy for only 9 documents, and for most of the documentation, everything has remained only verbally explained.
“The law prescribes that all information that is not classified or that is not restricted on other grounds is public. That is why we have informed the Ministry that after the holidays, we will start preparing for the publication of all those documents that are in our possession, and for which we have not been provided with an act declaring them secret”, says Ms Calovic Markovic.
She stresses that the fight against high-level corruption can only yield results if all key institutions are sincerely committed to it.
