The New Serb Democracy (NOVA) official, Spasoje Tomic, sent an email to the CdM newsroom earlier this morning, wishing them a Happy Serbian New Year. CdM wants to thank Mr Tomic and wishes him a Happy New Year based on the Julian calendar.
“I wish you a Happy Serbian Orthodox New Year. May you continue to exist as a portal for many years to come, and may you try unsuccessfully to demonize the Serbs in Montenegro for the entire duration of your existence. I also wish you, just like I wish to your twin media, Analitika and Aktuelno, as little readership as possible and that your supporters from DPS, SDP continue to record a drop in support of voters. Best regards, Spasoje Tomic”.

The CdM portal replied: “Dear Mr Spasoje, Serbian New Year doesn’t exist so we wish you a Happy New Year based on the Julian calendar, which is being celebrated even in some parts of Germany. Montenegrins, Serbs, Albanians, Bosnians, Croats and other people of Montenegro are equal holders of sovereignty and it’s how we treat them, respecting the Constitution of Montenegro. Parties are going to change just like politicians, but we, as witnesses of these – sometimes crazy and sometimes beautiful times – are going to stay. May multinational and multi-confessional Montenegro and all its peoples be eternal. As for our readership, it’s going up for now, but Santa can always surprise you.
