Prime Minister, Mr Duško Marković, and owner of UNIPROM KAP, Mr Veselin Pejović, put into operation today the new silumin factory. PM said that that every new product in Monteengro was a step towards new job, and every new job brought as closer to the European quality of life.
“When we visited the entire complex at the end of March, we saw that a whole modern industrial center of our country was being developed. New factory will roll out a product which will go directly into the halls of car or plane giants”, pointed out Mr Marković.
PM said that this investment and everything that had been done so far deserved respect and unquestionable institutional support.
“For me, the resistance of Mr Pejović and his team to the destruction, propaganda and slanders aimed at stymieing Aluminum Plant also deserves great respect. We need more such examples”, said Mr Marković.
Production of aluminum billets project is worth more than €10 million and is expected to boost employment.
PM said that we should be encouraged by the fact that we had managed to change the direction in our industry, after many-decade long stagnation.
“Contemporary process from a natural resource to a final product is long and it wouldn’t be very rational to think that it can be finalized within the national framework. Our duty is to try to use our own forces as much as possible, at least in some areas. To do that, we have to change approach and outdated technologies. With a new factory within Uniprom-KAP, we made a step forward”, concluded Mr Marković.
