Officers of the Department for the Fight Against Crime, assisted by the officers of the Special Police Department, carried out extradition of the accused Atlas Group CEO Dusko Knezevic, 65, from the UK to Montenegro earlier today, the National Police stated.

As they pointed out, Mr Knezevic was extradited to Montenegro under the strictest maximum-security conditions.

“Extradition was carried out by the National Police and the Special State Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro on the one hand, and the UK Home Office, supported by the UK Liaison Office in Belgrade and the UK Embassy in Podgorica, on the other,” the police said.

As they noted, Dusko Knezevic was wanted on suspicion of committing several crimes in Montenegro – misuse of office through incitement, abuse of authorizations in business operations through incitement, organizing a criminal organization and money laundering.

“Knezevic will be handed over to the Podgorica High Court for further actions,” the police said.
