Tonight’s decisions of the Prosecutorial Council said everything about the rule of law and respect for the basic principles on which a democratic society should be based, said prosecutor Djurdjina Nina Ivanovic, after the session of that body at which the termination of office of Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnic was stated.
The Constitution of Montenegro, she adds, says that European conventions take precedence over domestic legislation.
The Prosecutorial Council passed decisions according to which nine prosecutors were terminated by exercising their right to an old-age pension, and prosecutor Ivanovica was against in both cases.
