Montenegro might open borders for Russians as of 1 August

The National Coordination Body has been considering the possibility of the eventual opening of Montenegro’s borders for Russia citizens as of 1 August, Dnevne Novine daily reported.

According to the paper, this decision, which would most certainly make tourism officials extremely happy, would be part of the measures mitigating the consequences of the novel coornavirus, especially in the area of tourism, having in mind that Russia reported a significant drop in new cases over the past few days.

The fact is that Russians are extremely interested to vacay in Montenegro and great many of them are calling tourist agencies to find out more about the current situation in MNE.

So far, Montenegro has opened its borders for tourists from Ukraine and Belarus, as well as for those coming from Israel.

In early July, the first charter flight from Ukraine carrying 153 passengers landed in Montenegro, all of whom had negative PCR test thus complying with all sanitation procedures.
