Nikšić’s becoming more attractive to tourists

According to preliminary data, there were 16,643 arrivals and 28,898 overnight stays in Nikšić last year.

Director of the Nikšić Tourism Organization, Mr Boris Muratović, says Nikšić recorded an increase of even 46 per cent when it comes to arrivals and 19.5 per cent more overnight stays when compared to 2018.

Mr Muratović voiced satisfaction with the offer in his town as well as with the tourism trends.

“We have luxury accommodation capacities, now we have nine hotels and even over 35 registered private accommodation facilities. I can say that 2019 is the best year in terms of tourism in Nikšić, as shown by the achieved results. In terms of trends, we can say that we are very pleased.”

The Nikšić Tourism Organization underlined the fact that for years more and more of its residents opt for working in the area of tourism by renting the accommodation capacities to tourists.

They also mentioned a very significant line in Nikšić tourism offer – the festivals, which make this town more recognizable not just in Montenegro but in the region as well.
