Parliament adopts Resolution on genocide in Jasenovac, Dachau and Mauthausen camps system

The Parliament of Montenegro adopted the Resolution on Genocide in the Jasenovac, Dachau and Mauthausen camps system. A total of 41 MPs voted in favour of this Resolution, one was against, while there were no abstentions. The opposition announced during the debate that it decided not to support the Resolution, because, as they announced, it was directed by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and that it was very possible that it would stop Montenegro’s European path. On the other hand, Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic, as a representative of the majority, said that they were doing an important thing that would serve to the pride of those who voted in favour of the Resolution. Miodrag Lakovic of PES announced that he would not support the Resolution.
