According to the preliminary data provided by the Central Bank of Montenegro, since the beginning of this year until the end of July, total inflow of foreign direct investments amounts 466,8 million EUR, which is 47,6 % more than in the same period last year.

“This trend is the result of much higher outflow on the basis of payment of intercompany debt, as well as of the withdrawal of equity investments of a major company”, say the representatives of the Central Bank of Montenegro.

When it comes to net inflow of foreign direct investments from NATO Members, it amounted 244,4 million EUR – 118,8 % more than in the same period last year.

Representatives of the Central Bank of Montenegro think that one year is short period to consider the effects of any integration.
