EU countries, particularly France, require better results: New requirements for MNE to be presented on Tuesday

Zorka Kordić

The Intergovernmental Conference between Montenegro and the European Union, EU, scheduled for 22 June, will analyze the overall negotiation course between Montenegro and the EU, while a number of member states of the EU will present new requirements in the area of the rule of law. According to Dan daily, the conference, that is, a number of members of the European alliance led by France, will suggest new conditions for Montenegro, as France initiated a new methodology for accession talks.

The new methodology was the key topic for discussion over the past few days between Montenegro’s negotiator, Ms Zorka Kordic, and French officials.

Ms Kordic has noted she’s happy to see that France is returning to the Western Balkans with its political presence and concrete initiatives, and that it returned the enlargement policy to a strong political high-level debate with this revised methodology.
