DPS MP Mr Nikola Rakočević assessed that the shutdown of Montenegro Airlines was motivated by political revenge.
“Shutting down Montenegro Airlines without explanation and without simultaneously opening a new company that would take over all operational and formal rights of MA, and keep all current employees is a strategically reckless and economically irresponsible decision, unfortunately motivated by political revenge,” Mr Rakočević said in an interview for the Dnevne novine.
He added that distrust of the new government is expected, since it is the product of a dangerous right-wing populist wave, an economically infantile program policy, for the most part.
“All investors, both domestic and foreign ones, have stopped and are waiting for the decisions of the new government, in order to assess whether Montenegro is still suitable for investment and business. At the same time, I think that there are too many business barriers and any should be removed in the next period”, said Mr Rakočević.
