Socialist People’s Party SNP will use all its strength and energy to resolve concrete issues citizens face, said candidate for party president Snezana Jonica. She said the new president would be chose by members of SNP.
She said that SNP is not one individual, but that its made of its honest members who believe in its message. Her first move as a president would be to consolidate the party from within.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to SNP members. They risked everything for the truth and justice. We must make the party strong again”, Jonica said.
She said she was thankful that 19 municipal communities of SNP suggested her as a candidate, but she was also disappointed that the party suffered in public.
“I was silent in the face of many attacks and offenses, not because I wouldn’t know what to say, but because such conversations don’t contribute to SNP”, Jonica said.
She said her presidency would guarantee constant work in the field and resolution of many everyday problems citizens face. SNP could be a generator of necessary changes in Montenegro.
Jonica also said she supported opposition agreement on parliament boycott.
“Opposition that cooperates is the best defense against dictatorship”, Jonica said.
She said SNP has a clear goal to change the way Montenegro is lead in the future, which does not only include one party, but the whole system.
“We need to work in the interest of citizens, not political parties”, Jonica said.
